Update 7/11/21: the car still runs great. I drive a 2017 subaru outback for work, and despite the outback having more power, I far prefer my Spectra. It also has more climate control settings than your average car that costs twice as much, with 9 fan speeds and many more temperature settings than any other car I've driven. This car is amazingly reliable and affordable. So check the level and bleed the collant system to help get the air out. sometimes if it is low the wate pump will push air into your heater coil macking it sould like water running. As for maintenance I have only had to do regular service, and, as long as you treat the car well, you'll most likely never have to do any advanced repairs for a long time to come.
